The club competes in local inter-club competitions and within the last few years has won Woking Photographic Society’s Silver Jubilee Trophy in 2023, come 2nd in Guildford Photographic Society’s Albany Cup in 2022 and 3rd in 2023, won Farnborough Camera Club’s Interclub PDI competition in 2023 and 2nd in 2022 and come 2nd in Brackell Camera Clubs 9’s competition in 2023 and 2024. In other years, we have often been highly placed.
Our members have also been having their own successes in individual entry competitions run by our Federation (the Surrey Photographic Association) and having their work selected for exhibiting at the SPA Biennial Exhibition. In 2022, a member received a Gold award for their image in the RPS Travel Group competition, in 2021 a member gained 1st place in the ‘Colour’ section of the Travel Photographer of the Year and in 2023 a member had their image selected as one of 60 to be exhibited in the national Masters of Print exhibition organised by the Photography Alliance of Great Britain (PAGB).
